Enhancing Effectiveness of Materials, Activities, and Presentations for Science Education

Join the discussion to explore ways of improving today's materials, activities, and presentations to make them more effective for teaching science concepts. We will also discuss the distinction between science inquiry and engineering design and how to make it clearer. Participants will have the chance to share their thoughts on opportunities and issues related to using engineering design in teaching science. Additionally, we will examine if today's activities have increased understanding of the Oregon Science Standards for engineering design and suggest changes for better comprehension. The session will conclude with goals, bike rack (positive aspects), and participants' feedback on what they would like to see in the future.
