  1. FIFTH COMING TOGETHER ROUNDTABLE“Connect, Collaborate, Create”Crowne Plaza, DubaiDecember 27, 30 and 31, 2009 Commemorating TogethernessWorking Together in the Spirit of Hamazori Hamazor Bad, Hamazor Hama Asho Bad Please greet the person sitting next to you With the Hamazor hand clasp

  2. WISDOM OF THE AGESby Rohinton Rivetna, CTR, Dubai 2009 Need for a Vision • Organizations/Communities with “Vision” are powerfully endowed. • Organizations/Communities without “Vision” are at risk – they perish. • We are an ethnic/religious community. • What is our “Vision”? - Build Intentionality to nurture our community? • Spiritual maturity & literacy? • Become more religious? • “It is a pecularity of man that he can only live by looking to the future and this is his salvation in even the most difficult moments of his existence” • Whatever the mind can conceive and believe it can achieve.

  3. WISDOM OF THE AGES-2 • Having a positive vision of the future is essential for all of us. It influences our directions in the present and it gives meaning to our lives and our work. • If we can imagine a future we can create it, if we can create that future others will live in it. That is the essence of success. • Success is not about creating a definitive dogmatic end state; it is about the unfolding of thought processes, of dialogue and continuum. • It is not about what we create for ourselves, it is what we leave behind that will define us. Vision without action is merely a dream Action without Vision just passes the time, Vision with action can change the world!

  4. OUR VISION & MISSION Vision for the Community: “ To nurture a caring, compassionate, altruistic, harmonious, observant, esteemed and prosperous worldwide Community.” Mission: “ To come together and work together in hamazori for the Zarathushti and global communities.”

  5. Some Truisms for Reflection • Dialogue brings minds together, Action brings hearts together. • If our minds and our hearts are together we will not have to shout at each other to be heard. • Let us move entitlement to enlightenment. • You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves. • Ours is a worldwide fraternity uncommon in human history. • Let us forge new pathways of cooperation. • We need to rebuild our ethic of collective giving. • We need to live by the principles of our faith:- Happiness to him who gives happiness to others- Service to fellowmen is service to Ahura Mazda- Follow in the footsteps of our forefather • The language of love is universal, most clearly expressed in compassion. • Religion gets us in the door. It is kinship that binds us together.
