Industrialization • A period of rapid technological advancement and social change. • Agricultural (Food) and industrial output of goods increased because of new technologies’ • Many people leave farms move to cities (Results in Poor living conditions in cities) • Agriculture, Industry, and Roads lead to the growth of cities • Industrialization requires workers which leads to an increase in immigration • Many cultures begin to emerge in cities

  3. Industrialization • Working conditions in Factories are Dangerous, long hours, low pay. • Poor working conditions, pay and safety lead to the rise of labor unions • Results, businesses were regulated by government • Monopolies outlawed

  4. Economic Effects of Ind. Rev. • Factories rise in cities. • Businesses become larger. • Modern farming begins • using less people due to • new technology. • Improved transportation roads, rail and phone brings nation into better communication help business and industry
