Transition • Importance of National Governments leading the response to disasters on their territory • Clusters and other coordination mechanisms designed to manages and optimise international support where that is necessary • Need to have a planned approach to return coordination to long-term stable, government led structures • Several countries where clusters are near or at deactivation – important not to have a vacuum
Current Priorities • Sustained support for on going and new emergencies • Effective allocation of surge mechanisms • Operating modalities for Field Support Team • Long term stable resourcing for Field Support Team • Implementation planning for 2015-16 • Mobilising donor support • Supporting transition
