  4. Next select your Tribes name in the selection box and select “Search” at the bottom of the page..

  5. Select a link for one facility

  6. This page gives you all of the information about a facility as well as links Which allow you to edit data, delete a facility, merge a facility or view the Current years emissions. There are also tabs across the top which will drill Down to the release point, emission unit or process level. If you select the Process tab…

  7. …you will receive a list of all of the processes under that facility. If you select a link to a single process…

  8. …you receive the detailed information about that process to include release point apportionment, controls and regulations. You may also view or edit/delete emissions from this page without having to resend your file.

  9. Emission Inventory System Exporting Data from eisinto teiss

  10. Exporting Data for TEISS EIS will allow exports of YOUR data State data requires state permission for READ access

  11. A snapshot (facility and emissions) gives you detailed information to include units, processes and release points in a format to import into TEISS

  12. First select the Facility Snapshot bar.

  13. For a facility snapshot, select the agency of interest. I am signed on as North Carolina but notice that I have access to additional agencies which have allowed me to READ their data. Navajo

  14. Next select the data category. In this case it would be Facility Inventory.

  15. There are two links available, request and download. If request is selected a new snapshot will be generated overnight. If you select Download, you will download the latest snapshot generated on the Last Generation Date.

  16. When you select “Download”, a box will open with a link to the file. Select that link and the File Download box will open. Select “Save” and select the location for the file. Files are downloaded in a zipped file format. To import these files into TEISS, the files must be unzipped and the xml file extracted to your directory.

  17. An emissions snapshot is done the same way except you need to select a dataset under the Emissions Snapshot filter and select Point in the Data Category filter. In this case, select the appropriate inventory year for your agency.

  18. Exercise – Facility Snapshot Sign on to the EIS Gateway Select “Request Reports” on the left-hand sidebar Select “By Responsible Agency” under Facility Snapshot Select the State Agency under Facility Snapshot filter Select “Facility Inventory” under Data Category filter Select “Search” and then “Download”

  19. Exercise – Emissions Snapshot Sign on to the EIS Gateway Select “Request Reports” on the left-hand sidebar Select “By Responsible Agency” under Emissions Snapshot Select the 2008 State Agency under Emissions Snapshot filter Select “Point” under Data Category filter Select “Search” and then “Download” This may be repeated for nonpoint, onroad and nonroad.

  20. Emissions Inventory System Overview (cont.)

  21. Emissions Summary by Geography Used to look at point, nonpoint, onroad, and nonroad Runs every 15 minutes and downloads in .csv Reports can be done on a national, regional, state/tribe, or county level Reports can be done by Data Category (Point, Nonpoint, etc); Sectors (Ag, Fires, Dust, etc); or by SCC

  22. There are additional reports which can be used for analysis. These reports cannot be uploaded into TEISS, but open in Excel. One of the best reports is the emissions summary by geography report.

  23. At the top of the page are highlighted items which are required to be selected to run the summary report. For this example we will use the State/Tribal by SCC

  24. Next you need to select the dataset that you wish to summarize. You can either select what your agency has submitted, or you may select the dataset representing what EPA will publish on our public website. These selections will be a combination of both agency data and EPA data.

  25. Next you are required to select either a specific pollutant code by using the search box; or you may use the preselected groups represented by Active CAPS; Active HAPs, etc. For this example we have selected NOx. Next you have additional filters, such as a specific agency, data category, sector, or SCC. When selections are done, select Run Report or Request Download.

  26. If you select “Run Report”, report is returned to screen where you can download immediately by using :Download Results: CSV. If your selection is too large; you will receive a message that you must Request a Download. These reports are generated overnight.

  27. Reports may be downloaded the next day from the “Reports Download” link. If you select the magnifying glass, you are able to see the specific filters for the report being downloaded.

  28. If you select Open, the file will automatically open into an Excel spreadsheet.

  29. Emissions Summaries by Facility A report that gives you emissions summed to facility, unit, process or release point level Reports run every 15 minutes, available in .csv format under Report Downloads on sidebar. .csv may be imported easily into Excel spreadsheet or Access database Reports can also be done by Facility Type, NAICS or SCC Cannot be imported into TEISS

  30. Select “By Facility” under Emission Summaries.

  31. Required filters are highlighted. For our example, we will select a facility level report.

  32. Next, a dataset needs to be selected. similar to the emissions summary. You may select a specific inventory year for your agency or EPA’s public selection.

  33. The last required filter is pollutant code. Additional optional filters are then available to refine your selection. Then select Run Report or Request Download.

  34. Submitting Your Data • In TEISS, indicate if you are sending data to QA Environment or Production before exporting • What is the QA Environment? • Codes • Required Data Elements • Ranges • Conditional Checks • What is the Production Environment? • Official submission • Same checks as the QA Environment • Zip your exported xml file from TEISS • Open the Web Client • https://nodewebrss.epa.gov/user/Login.aspx

  35. Use your same login and password that you use for the EIS Gateway. Change the Domain to “IAMLdap”

  36. Select “EIS” on the sidebar.

  37. Browse for the zipped xml file which you exported from TEISS. Also add your email address to the Notify box. Then click Submit.

  38. Notifications • Two emails from CDX • Pending • Processed or Failed • Validation of File Format • One email from “noreply” • Notification that file has gone through QA and feedback report is available for review

  39. Feedback Reports • Important sections • Statistics • Critical Errors • Informational • Warning Errors • What do you do if you receive critical errors? • Correct them in TEISS • Export a new xml file • Zip the file • Send again

  40. The statistics page is one of the most important pages of the feedback report. The number of adds should equal the number of records submitted. Another important page is the Critical Errors worksheet. All errors on this page must be rectified prior of submission to Production.
