Advanced Requirements Engineering: Understanding the Root Cause of ERP System Failures

This study by Shilpa Siddavvanahally delves into the complexities of ERP systems and their failures. ERP systems are software that automate planning for enterprises by integrating business entities. The need for ERP arises in large, complex businesses where manual planning is no longer feasible. Failure in ERP implementation often stems from engineers' inability to grasp the business complexity and high workforce turnover. The root causes include irresponsible behavior, lack of professionalism, engineers quitting for better opportunities, and a struggle to understand intricate business processes.
