Tourism Koszalin Philharmonic (the value of an investment- 7.981.569 EUR) meets high acoustic requirements, perhaps the most prominent guestscontemporary soloists and orchestra. The philharmonic can hold 520 music lovers. Aquapark Koszalin (the value of an investment– 20.952.380 EUR) facility includes recreational area, sports pool, sauna area and jacuzzi, wellness and spa, gym and fitness. Sport and entertainment hall (the value of an investment – 9.838.559 EUR) the full-size basketball and handball, gym and fitness.

„Koszalin” Subzone of the SłupskSpecial Economic Zone (SSEZ) Established on 22.10.2003 within the Słupsk Special Economic Zone at area of 22 ha Extension of the functioning of economic zones by the year 2026. Currently it covers approx. 150,1655 ha whereof approx.45 ha can still be developed.
„Koszalin" Subzone of the SSEZ– strong points • Perfect location and transport accessibility in the vicinity of national routes No 6 (Szczecin – Gdańsk) and No 11 (Kołobrzeg – Poznań – Górny Śląsk) and near motorways No S6 and No S11 junction. • Full technical infrastructure with great reserve of: water, rainwater & sanitary sewerage systems, power and natural gas supply. Project subsidised under RPO WZ 2007-2013. The value of an investment23.188.671 EUR. • Preferences for Investors An entrepreneur who has been granted the permit for business activity in the zone is exempted from the CIT income tax up to 55%, depending on the size of the company. It is also exempted from the local real estate, lands, buildings and constructions tax by the rule of de minimis. • Plots division according to investor’s needswhich means large savings. Min. plot area from 0,4 ha. • Zoning in local spatial development plan: industrial production, logistic & warehouse centers. No investment obstacles. Tax benefits for investors operating in the SSEZ: Entrepreneurs operating in the SSEZ based on granted permits can take advantage of regional aid provided by way of exemption from income tax on account of new investments or new employment. Maximum regional aid levels: • 35% for large enterprises (with more than 250 employees) • 45% for medium-sized enterprises (with less than 250 employees) • 55% for micro enterprises (with less than 10 employees) and small-sized enterprises (less than 50 employees) Example The maximum tax exemption for a medium-sized enterprise starting a new investment,will becalculated in the following manner: 10 mln EUR x 45% (max. intensity of aid)= 4,5 mln EUR Small-sized enterprises: 10 mln EUR x 55% (max. intensity of aid)= 5,5 mln EUR
Tax benefits for investors operating in the SSEZ: Exemption from local taxation of real estates (land, buildings and structures) based on the de minimis principle(up to Euro 200,000) for those Investors who have been permitted for business activity in the zone. Example Plot 40.000m2 40.000m2 x 0,82 PLN = 32.800,00 PLN (7.810 EUR) Buildings ‐ built-up area: 50% i. ex. building + office area of 20.000 x 22.13 PLN= 442.600,00 PLN (105.381 EUR) In addition to buildings related to business activity - 2% of their value. Total – 475.400 PLN (113.191 EUR)

Education In Koszalin there are four schools of university standing and several branches of universities located in other cities, where approx. 10 000 students are educated. Both Municipality of Koszalin and schools are open for expanding the range of courses and adapting it to the expectations of entrepreneurs. So far, eight cooperation agreements has been signed.
