  1. Youth Engagement Plan Since the 1960’s, when park visitation was at its highest of 500,000 visitors, visitation has fallen to 200,000 visitors the past number of years.

  2. Youth Engagement Plan To improve the visitation numbers a youth engagement strategy is proposed. Approximately 75,000 elementary school aged children live in the Edmonton area. Based on these numbers park visitation could increase by 150,000 if one child where to be accompanied by one parent each visit. These numbers could grow larger if children visited multiple times per year.

  3. Youth Engagement Plan School programs that the park offers are currently oversubscribed with many thousands of students being turned away each year. This marketing proposal is targeted directly at the parents of elementary school aged children, in order to motivate them to take their children to the park.

  4. Youth Engagement Plan The following video presentation accompanies the proposal submitted and is a tool to use in appropriate marketing channels. The video outlines the benefits for both parents and their children when visiting the park. Constraints to visiting the park are also addressed with solutions to these challenges included.
