  1. Everything You Should Know About the Metal Fabrication Process Marine metal fabrication is quite simple, in principle. Two metals are submerged in water, while electrically connected. When this occurs, one will demonstrate a decidedly faster rate of corrosion, while the other will display a much slower rate.   2. Cutting This step involves removing all unwanted sections of the raw metal. There are three different cutting stages. They are as follows: - Sawing - Shearing - Laser Cutting Sawing occurs when removing large portions of the metal. With shearing, small impurities are taken from the sample of metal. Laster cutting takes away minute particles before moving to the second step of fabrication which is bending. Bending Shaping and molding occurs during the bending stage. It cannot be done by hand, but rather heavy-duty machines. Assembling At this point, we create the final product. The hull of the ship is then coated with the alloy. Changing Technology With new technologies, the options are endless. It has changed perspectives and ideas about the metal fabrication industry. While once, manual machine tools were used in marine metal industries. The use of lathes and drills were common. There were problems with workers being exposed to hazardous equipment.
