For manyartists, includinggraphicdesigners, developing a portfolio—a collection of completedworksthatdemonstratestheirstyles and abilities—isessentialbecauseemployersrelyheavily on a designer's portfolio in decidingwhether to hire the individual.

  4. Whois a Graphic designer? A person whouses the elements of art to communicate a business message. A graphicdesigner’sworkisseeneveryday in the differentkinds of adsfound in newspapers, magazines, online, and so on. Theseskillsareneeded not only in marketing, but also in packaging, software userinterfaces and consumerproduct design.

  5. Whygraphic design? We live in a timewhenmillionscouldseeourwork – online, on the street, in newspapers and magazines, on packaging. We can  go freelanceif we want to. Graphic design iscreative and requireshuman-ledintelligence and ideas to respond to trends, tastes and whathasalreadybeenbefore. It willnever be something a robot canmimic. Sure, the technology to createwillcontinue to makeourliveseasier as designers, but they'llneverreplaceus. Also, we justreallylikegraphic design.
