Veterans Information • Branch and service dates for veterans with multiple periods of service • Use the branch and dates of the longest continuous period of service • If identical periods of service, then use combat era service period • If all or none are during combat era, then use the most recent.

15. Outside of HMIS • Screening • Data for persons who are screened but not enrolled should never be entered into a VA project and should not be uploaded to the Repository. • Eligibility Determination • Documentation must be obtained for data elements directly tied to program eligibility.

16. Coming Soon…. • Scenario: Veteran comes to Agency A qualifies and is enrolled in SSVF, refused to share project level information. Next month, arrives at Agency B. How do you know if their already enrolled at Agency A?
