The objectives of this course is to make students to learn: To learn the concepts of environmental studies in natural resources as to be preserve and conserved. All the natural resources are available in the form of goods or products in the nature. Goods are utilized in the useful of mankind. The Biodiversity has to be conserved every organism and plant highly valuable in ecosystem structure and function. Course Objectives
After learning the contents of this course the students must be able to: Identify the important components of environment.. Identify global environmental problems and come out with best possible solutions.. Apply environmental laws for the protection of forest and wildlife. Apply theknowledge ofEnvironmental ethicsto maintain harmonious relation between nature and human being. Illustrate the major environmental effects of exploiting natural resources. Course Outline
Marks Distribution: The performance of the student shall be evaluated with a maximum of 100 marks for the course. The evaluation shall be for 25 marks through internal evaluation and 75 marks through external end semester examination. The description regarding the mid semester marks and external end semester marks is as follows: Mid Semester Marks Distribution: There shall be two midterm examinations called Mid I and Mid II. Each midterm examination is of subjective type. The subjective test is duration of two hours with total marks being 15. The syllabus that shall be covered for Mid I subjective test is first two units and Mid II subjective test is the next three units. The mid exam shall contain three one mark compulsory questions in part – A and part – B contains total of three questions on either or basis, each question carries four marks. In addition to mid exams, there shall be one online objective test conducted for 20 minutes containing 20 objective questions covering the entire syllabus. The evaluated score is adjusted to five marks scale. Maximum Five marks shall be allocated subject wise depending on percentage of attendance at the end of the semester. For the consideration of awarding the final internal marks an average of two mid exams is calculated and added to the objective score, attendance score and recorded for a maximum of 25. End Semester Marks Distribution: The end semester examination shall be conducted for duration of three hours with total marks being 75. The End examination shall contain a total of ten questions with two questions from each of the five units on either or basis. The student shall answer one question from each unit compulsorily. Each question carries fifteen marks. The total marks will be 75. THANK YOU……
