  3. “Is” Translation This is optional. Use when you want to emphasize. Overview Is or Are = Itself, Point, or Self Example English: Life is good. ASL: Life itself good.

  4. “Is” Translation • Overview • Is, Are, or Am = Itself, Point, or Self • What is different between ”itself”, “point”, or “self”? • Itself = no reference of space. • Ex: Color, Life, and Money • Point = with reference of space and from your perspective • Self = with reference of space and from their perspective
