  2. Shahadah Creedal Statement • Upon rising and before sleeping, Muslims say a prayer that’s foundational to their belief system.

  3. Salat Prayer • Muslims pray 5x/day: • Sunrise • Afternoon • Mid-afternoon • Dusk • Evening

  4. Zakat Almsgiving • Muslims are required to share annually 2.5% of their income and wealth to the poor.

  5. Sawm Fasting • Muslims are required to fast from sunrise to sunset during the month of Ramadan.

  6. Hajj Pilgrimage • If Muslims are financially and physically able, they are obliged to make a pilgrimage to Mecca.
