Neuropathy • Neuropathy is a medical term referring to disorders of the nerves of the peripheral nervous system (specifically excluding encephalopathy and myelopathy, which pertain to the central nervous system.) It is defined as deranged function and structure of peripheral motor, sensory, and autonomic neurons, involving either the entire neuron or selected levels. According to some sources, a disorder of the cranial nerves can be considered a neuropathy.
Peripheral neuropathy • Peripheral neuropathy is the term for damage to nerves of the peripheral nervous system, which may be caused either by diseases of the nerve or from the side-effects of systemic illness. Peripheral neuropathies vary in their presentation and origin, and may affect the nerve or the neuromuscular junction.
Diabetic neuropathies • Diabetic neuropathies are neuropathic disorders that are associated with diabetes mellitus. These conditions are thought to result from diabetic microvascular injury involving small blood vessels that supply nerves (vasa nervorum). Relatively common conditions which may be associated with diabetic neuropathy include third nerve palsy; mononeuropathy; mononeuropathy multiplex; diabetic amyotrophy; a painful polyneuropathy; autonomic neuropathy; and thoracoabdominal neuropathy.
Autonomic Neuropathy • Autonomic neuropathy (also called visceral neuropathy) is a disease of the non-voluntary, non-sensory nervous system (i.e. the autonomic nervous system) affecting mostly the internal organs such as the bladder muscles, the cardiovascular system, the digestive tract, and the genital organs. These nerves are not under a person's conscious control and function automatically. They do not run through the spinal cord.

Within the body the photochemical process nourishes the cells Damaged cells are nourished by the beam of light from the laser The laser allows cell to naturally replace themselves with lasting, permanent new fully functional cells How Does the Laser Work?THE BIG PICTURE
Photons are captured by mitochondria, or “battery packs” of cells There are about 200 mitochondria in each cell They are immediately transformed by the infrared photons of the laser in to ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the energy currents of the body With that new energy the damaged cells are able to produce collagen, elastin, and proteins at the same rate as healthy cells and essentially repair themselves How Does the Laser Work?THE DETAILS Peripheral neuropathy-cellular
