Foundations (cont.) • 2000: Governor Barnes starts Yamacraw Project to make Georgia a world leader in high-speed broadband technologies • AASU is one of 8 universities in the state to participate in the project • Yamacraw project activities at AASU are housed in the Department of Computer Science • 2001: USG approves Bachelor of Information Technology and MS in CS
