  4. PACK MEETING • First Monday each month, 6:30 – 8:00pm • Beacon Cove Cafeteria • Arrive on time • Bring a water bottle • Appropriate footwear – not flip flops • Must wear Class A uniform

  5. Scout Uniforms • Class A: Full scout dress uniform. • Wear at all Pack meetings, Go See Its and official Pack outings, e.g. Scouting for Food, Pinewood Derby • Class B: Pack 774, or scouting, tee shirt. • To be worn at Den meetings, unless advised by Den leader of special outings where Class A is required

  6. Bobcat - First rank for ALL scouts • Tiger - 1st Grade • Wolf - 2nd Grade • Bear - 3rd Grade • Webelos - 4th & 5th Grades • Arrow of Light – Highest Rank in Cub Scouts ADVANCEMENT

  7. BELT LOOPS AND PINS • Academics and Sports • Optional – not required for rank advancements • Can Be Earned at Pack, Den, or Family Level • All Belt Loops and Pins are paid for by Pack • Advancement Chair will record in Scouttrack • Details: • www.scouting.org • www.boyscouttrail.com

  9. ADVANCEMENT • Ranks for Tiger, Wolf & Bear are normally awarded in April or May at a pack meeting • Crossover for Webelos II usually takes place in early March • Special Ceremony

TRAINING www.myscouting.org/Training • All Committee members, Den leaders and Assistant Den leaders must do the online training • Minimal time commitment for initial training course • Training Chair will track trainings and reminders when they expire • Youth Protection Training will be presented at October Pack Meeting • Scouting University: Saturday, September 13th

  14. CAMPING: Steven Murray • Pack event – all the family is welcome • Scout Island: October 17 - 19 • Registration closes at end of October Pack Meeting • Camping checklist can be found on the Pack’s website • Must complete BSA medical form parts A & B to attend

  15. CAMPING RULES • Please leave behind: • Electronics • Alcoholic beverages • Tobacco products • Pets • Stress • Other people’s children

  16. DUES & FUNDRAISING • Dues increased to $110 • Must be paid by November Pack Meeting, Monday November 3rd • Popcorn fundraising reduced to $60

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO? • National dues & insurance • Boys Life magazine • Rank patches, belt loops, pins & other awards • Webelos Arrow Of Light kits & pins • Webelos Crossover ceremony • Events: Pinewood Derby, Scouting For Food, Pack Day Camp • Summer Activities program • Storage unit • Trailer & camping supplies • Leaders’ registration & uniforms • Neckerchief, slide & tee shirts for new scouts
