  2. PREPARATION • Conditioning (Heb 12:1-2) • Lay Aside Hindrances • Run with Endurance / Patience • Looking to Jesus (Vs. 2)

  3. RUN WITH ENDURANCE • Noah 120 years of running (Heb 11:7) • Abraham etc. ran with hope (Heb 11:13) • Jesus, the example (Heb 12:2) • No excuse for us. (Heb 12:3-11)

  4. RUN BY THE RULES • Looking to Jesus (12:2) • Author and finisher of Faith (Rom 10:17) • Judge. (John 12:48) • Rules found in Scripture (Heb 13:20-22)

  5. THE RULES Heb 12:12-17 • Strengthen hands which hang down and knees that are feeble (Vs.12) • Make straight your paths (Vs.13) • Pursue Peace (Vs. 14) • Pursue Holiness (Vs.14) • Do not sell out (Vs. 16) • Why? (Vs. 17)

  6. THE RULES Heb 12:25-29 • Do not refuse him who speaks. (Vs.25) • Seek grace (Vs. 28) • Run with Reverence • Run with Godly fear/awe • Why? (Vs. 29)

  7. THE RULES Heb 13:1-10 • Continue in Brotherly Love (Vs. 1) • Entertain Strangers (Vs.2) • Remember those in Bondage (Vs. 3) • Keep Marriage honorable (Vs. 4) • Avoid Love of Money (Vs. 5-6) • Remember those who rule over you (Vs. 7, 17) • Do not embrace false doctrines (Vs. 9)

  8. THE RULES Heb 13:13 • Bear His reproach (Vs.13) • Give God the fruit of our lips (Vs. 15) • Do good and share (Vs. 16) • Pray for Christians (Vs. 18)

  9. GET IN THE RACE • HEAR • BELIEVE • REPENT • C0NFESS • BAPTIZED • RUN WITH ENDURANCE/PATIENCE • GET BACK ON THE TRACK
