History 2006 The Governor convened stakeholders from insurance, healthcare and employers to promote a single effort around quality (GQI) Initial Partners included Community Care of NC, BCBS, Medicaid, State Health Plan, AHEC and a broad range of other stake holders 2008 NCHQA was incorporated as a 501C3 not for profit The First major project was “Improving Performance in Practise” (IPIP)
GOALS Provide leadership for the improvement of health care delivery in North Carolina Promote and facilitate transparency and public accountability Foster innovative and sustainable activities and interventions that improve the quality and value of health care.
