  2. As with the traditions of the rituals suggest, the husband is often thankful to the wife for going the extra step with the festival and praying for his wellbeing and success. Therefore Husbands often gift a variety of things to their wives. Jewellery: One of the most common gifts, precious jewelries are often gifted to wives from their husbands. Clothing: Expensive Indianwear, from Sarees to salwar kameez or lehengas, tradional wear is also one of the most famous karwa chauth gifts. Luxury Thali Set: Designer karwa chauth thali set is also a best gift option. Mother In Law to Daughter in law: The gift that the mother in law gives their “bahu” is a ritual that has a name of its own. Referred to as “Sargi”, the ritual includes the mother in law who prepares a thali of everything that the wife can or should eat before she embarks on starting the fast. It’s her way of giving her blessings. The most common and ideal thali consists of a lot of sweet and savory items, coconuts, fruits and sometimes also comes with gifts like sarees and jewellery. Wife to husband: In the modern times even husbands have started to fast for the well being of their wives. The shift in this has also started the tradition of wife giving gifts to husband on Karwa Chauth. A few examples of good gifts by wives to husbands are sweets, office bags or traditional clothing.
