  2. Vice President Joe Biden The Vice Presidency role is important because if the President is absent for any reason, the Vice President takes on leadership in his position..

  3. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi The Speaker of the House is important because he/she oversees the entire proceedings for legislature. He/she oversees voting on bills, debates and appoint members of committees.

  4. U.S. Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis The Secretary of the Labor Department promotes working conditions, job opportunities and wage earnings.

  5. U.S. Secretary of State Hilary Clinton The U.S. Secretary of State is an important role because he/she carries out the President’s foreign policies. He/she is the President’s foreign affairs advisor.

  6. U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates The Secretary of Defense works along side with civilian and military advisors to create security policies for our National Security. Then after working with the advisors, the Secretary of Defense recommends these policies to the President.

  7. U.S. Secretary of Treasury Timothy Geithner More recently, in financial news, the Secretary of Treasury is responsible for making sure as a country we don’t slip into another recession. The Secretary of Treasury is the person who is responsible for our financial stability, Nationally and Worldwide.

  8. Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett The newly elected Governor, Tom Corbett is important because he promises Pennsylvania citizens that he will right “Rendell’s Wrongs” and make Pennsylvania a “leader” again. He promises new jobs, and better economic growth.

  9. Pennsylvania Senator Pat Toomey Pat Toomey for Senate is important because of what he stands for. He wants to send a message to Washington, D.C. stating, “We are tired of what is going on down there, we are tired and we are going to chart a new course."

  10. Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey Bob Casey has been the PA democratic representative for the Senate since 2006. He is important because he gives PA citizens a sense of stability. Bob Casey claims to represent the people of Pennsylvania. He is the “port hole” between law makers and everyday workers.

  11. House of Representative memberSusan helm As a member of the House Sue serves on the Professional Licensure, Tourism and Recreational Development and Urban Affairs committees.
