  1. Acid, base, universal indicator,pH scale By: Ghanem Abdulla Alkubaisi Class:7A

  2. pH Scale pH scale is a scale of 0 to 14. Neutral water has a pH of 7. Acidic water has pH values less than 7, with 0 being the most acidic. You measure it’s color, Definition; The pH scale measures how acidic or basic a substance is.

  3. Acid Acids in solution have a pH below 7.0, a sour taste, Acids are divided into two main classes: (1) Strong acids are very dangerous and can cause severe skin burns, examples are hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, and sulfuric acid. (2) Weak acids are mildly corrosive and normally do not affect skin, examples are acetic acid which is (vinegar).

  4. Base A base in chemistry is a substance that can accept hydrogen ions Bases can be thought of as the chemical opposite of acids basically base is the opposite of ACID.

  5. Universal indicator A Universal indicator is a pH indicator composed of a blend of several compounds that exhibits several smooth colors changes over a pH value range from 1-14 to indicate the acidity or basicity of solutions. Definition: A universal indicator is typically composed of water, propan-1-l, phenolphthalein sodium salt, sodium hydroxide, methyl red, bromothymol blue monosodium salt, and thymol blue monosodium salt.

  6. Tooth decay Acidic food: Corn, Lentils, Blueberries, ,Canned ,Glazed Fruits ,Cranberries, Almond Milk, Black Bean, cheese, Ice Cream, Ice Milk, Cocoa and Coffee. Alkalizing food :Apple apricot, Avocado, Banana (high glycerin), Berries, Blackberries ,Cantaloupe, Cherries, sour, Coconut, fresh, Currants, Dates, dried, Figs, dried Grapes, Grapefruit Honeydew Melon and Lemon. There are more but those are basic.
