America COMPETES Reauthorization Act “Each head of an agency, or the heads of multiple agencies in cooperation, may carry out a program to award prizes competitively to stimulate innovation that has the potential to advance the mission of the respective agency.” -Congress December 21, 2010

FY 2013 Reports Due January 17th • Agencies conducting prizes under COMPETES must complete and submit a report to OSTP by January 17th, following the provided template • Includes launched, ongoing, and completed prizes • Agencies are also encouraged to include in such reports information about prize competitions conducted under other authorities • No need to report to OSTP if an agency has not conducted any prize competitions during the course of the year
