  2. Few tips that can make the painting job go smoothly. Painting the skirting boards is almost the last task to be done.

  3. Before you start painting, make sure you clean the dust and dirt with mild soap-water to prevent dust mixing it with the paint. Check if the boards are gouged or scratched, sand it with a sandpaper to smoothen the surface. #1. Cleaning the boards

  4. Always protect the carpet while painting .So it will be advisable to vaccum the floor before beginning or tape the carpet with a low masking tape. #2.Floor Protection

  5. You should start painting the Skirting board from the corner of the room. Never soak the brush while loading. Paint in downwards direction. Apply atleast two coats of desired color. Allow the paint to completely dry. #3.Proper Techniques

  6. Always apply painter's tape. Make sure you wear safety glass and also a painter's mask. Proper brushes and paints to be used. Do try you include a sash brush for applying the paint. #4.Using Proper Tools
