OPEN PET SHOW Sunday, July 28 th , 2013 3:00 p.m. Show Ring

1. General Rules • Open to all youth ( K-12 grades) • All exhibitors must check in with their pets at 2:30 p.m. at the Show Ring. Pets must be properly leashed, caged, or contained while on the fairgrounds. • No large animals will be allowed. (examples, steers, heifers, horses, ponies, etc.) Only small animals will be eligible to show. • Evaluation will be based on verbal questions from the judge on the care of your pet, health, behavior, and handling. Judging will not be based on the confirmation of the pet. • No wild animals! It is illegal under Iowa law to capture of keep any game animal, fur animal or game birds. • Various pet examples are: rabbits, poultry, guinea pigs, dogs, cats, gerbils, fish, hamsters, bottle calves/lambs, stuffed animals…..use your imagination. • Classes - Based on grade you just completed! • Grades Kindergarten – 3rd • Grades completing 4th – 6th • Grades completing 7th-9th • Grades completing 10th-12th • Awards • Grades K-3 – Special Awards for all exhibitors • Grades 4-6 – 1st $15.00, 2nd $10.00, 3rd $5.00 • Grades 7-9 – 1st $15.00, 2nd $10.00, 3rd $5.00 • Grades 10-12 – 1st $15.00, 2nd $10.00, 3rd $5.00 • Sponsored in 2013 by: • Summers Insurance OPEN PET SHOWSunday, July 28th , 20133:00 p.m.Show Ring
