  3. Ask yourself realistically… • Is it still effective? • Is it still legal to use? • Does it fit your crop management plan? • Will it work with your application equipment? • And finally… Will you really use it?

  4. Transporting Waste Pesticides • Harder than transporting new pesticide containers. • Over-pack & cover leaky or fragile containers • Don’t carry in truck cab or passenger vehicle • Secure your load

  5. Waste Pesticides - Plan ahead • Confirm collection times & items with local site • County Environmental, Hazardous Waste or Recycling departments • Some will accept year round, other have specific collection dates in late summer • Call MDA if you have over 300 lbs of waste pesticide

  6. Minimize pesticide wastes • Purchase only what you need for the season • Inventory control • First in, First out • Proper Storage • Temperature and humidity control
