Driving Question (Scenario) • Mr. Jones has a dilemma. He desperately needs a new car. However, he has certain requirements for his car and his budget can only afford a car payment of $450 per month. He travels 61.4 miles one way to work, so he needs a car that is highly dependable and gets very good gas mileage. He is able to put $2,500 down, and is willing to finance the car for five years. His wife would like to remind you, however, that she also wants a car that looks good. They have no kids, so no minivans and they do not attempt extreme sports, so no SUV’s. What car would you recommend?
Other Parameters • $2,500 down payment • Less than $450/month including gas mileage • 5.85% Interest Rate • Good gas mileage • The current gas average is $1.95 • Looks good
