  5. Ketso uses ‘leaves’ to capture people’s ideas

  6. Write or draw one idea per leaf, write so others can read

  7. Always use the ‘magic pens’ provided

  8. If an idea doesn’t fit – use more than one leaf!

  9. Coloured leaves for different questions (write on the coloured side)

  10. Think then share - time on your OWN to develop ideas before sharing & discussing them

  11. Each stage lasts about 10 minutes

  12. Bell to move to next stage – first ring person talking has a moment to finish what saying

  13. Avoiding plagiarism– preview of what the different colours mean What is plagiarism ? Why does plagiarism happen? How can we avoid plagiarism?

  16. Move the centrepiece to the centre of the felt, this is the focus of the workshop

  17. Branches provide themes (There are blanks for ideas that don’t fit these themes and new, emerging themes)

  18. Branches Experimental work Academic papers and communications Coding Online communication and social media Oral presentation Blank –for themes that emerge from discussion / cross cutting ideas

  19. Take it in turns to read out your ideas – one person reads one idea at a time…

  20. … going around the circle. Place leaves on the felt as you read them out

  21. Discuss the ideas after they are all on the felt

  22. Point leaves at branches

  23. Cluster similar ideas
