  2. My city I live in Siemianowice Śląskie for 11 years. I moved here when I was seven. At the beginning I did not like it but eventually i started to get used to my new place of residence. Siemianowice is very green city in Silesia (one of 16 parts of Poland). Some people say thatmy city is the city of sport.

The origin of the name There are three hypothetical explanations: • it comes from seven huts which were called Siedminowice/Siedmionowice; • it comes from the legend about Siemion/Siemian, Michał and Maciej or Siemion/Siemian, Michał and Jakub; • it comes from ‘ziemia nawa’ which means earth taken away from water.

  5. Administrative division Siemianowice Śląskie consists of 5 parts: • Centrum - 11,98 km² • Michałkowice - 5,46 km² • Bańgów - 2,96 km² • Przełajka - 2,7 km² • Bytków - 2,3 km² (part of ‘SŚ’ where i live)
