  1. The Programme • Overall objective: contribute to achieving ECOWAS objective to access 100% of the whole population, that to say 325 million people to a modern cooking service within 2015. • Domesticbiogas : • Provide energy for cooking and lighting needs to 5,000 households per year that to say 25,000 households or 250,000 people by 2017. • Reduce the effects of desertification by limiting the drain on woody species, • Improve the living conditions of rural women, • Support agricultural production through the provision of effluent for both winter crops and market gardening, • Contribute to the stalling in animal production • Economicbiogas : • Support economic production through the provision of electricity from biogas consuming generators, • Develop opportunities for new sectors of activity • Contribute in reducing greenhouse gas emissions in a context of climate warming. • Ensure the creation of green jobs through the development of entrepreneurship of biodigesters construction.

Le programme • Programme régional Objectifs : Appropriation et dissémination de la technologie , Soutien financier + mécanisme de financement, gestion des connaissances, R&D, Plaidoyer auprès des Etats membres • Programmes nationaux Objectifs : 5.000 biod => 80% des besoins en énergie, 200.00t d’effluent, 100.000 têtes stabulées, crédit carbone, etc. • Dissémination • Méthode : démarche marchande • Approche : PPP • Facilitations : subvention, mécanisme de crédit, mise en réseau et en synergie des apports, contributions et capitalisation.
