Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder • Book definition: Diagnostic category of the American Psychiatric Association for a condition in which a child exhibits developmentally inappropriate inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. • Examples: fidgeting, lack of impulse control or attention
Different Types of ADHD • Combined ADHD: (the most common type) • Inattention ADHD: (previously known as ADD) which is marked by impaired attention and concentration • Hyperactive-impulsive ADHD: which is marked by hyperactivity without inattentiveness
