  2. Definition Of cyberbullying • Cyberbullying is when someone uses electronics to bully someone. The most popular ways bullies use to cyberbully are texting on phones, Facebook messaging, and Twitter. This link is a video on what high school students think cyber bullying is

  3. The Different Types cyberbullying • There are many different types of Cyber bullying such as Flaming, Anonymity, Harassment, Cyber-Stalking, Exclusion, Outing, Masquerading, and Pseudonyms.

  4. Flamming • Flaming is when some people have harsh arguments online and they keep on swearing and ‘’dissing’’ each other usually over friends. The bullies use various ways of showing their emotions, including capital letters, images and symbols. Flamming usually starts on websites that allow more than two people to have conversations, for example chat rooms like chat roulette. And they can also make group conversations on their cell phones. After awhile of “Flamming’’ and one person gets too angry with the other they do something else, they can manipulate the conversation and make it look like the other person was making rude or nasty comments to their friends or family and then post it online. The most successful way of stopping this way of cyberbullying is too Pause Before You Post. This means that if you get mad at what someone says online, you should stop and cool down before you say something bad.

  5. anonymity • Anonymity is one of the most worse ways of cyberbullying because the bully can keep on bullying you and you wouldn’t know who it would because they can make fake accounts. This type of cyberbullying could also be your best friends because they feel like you’re being rude to them so they are getting back at you because you did something to them in the past. They can also be someone who doesn’t like you and their friends, posing as someone else.

  6. harassment • Harassment is when a group or individuals send rude comments to an individual on socializing websites by making you feel bad at times that you wouldn't really expect it. When you say something back when you’re mad, they are getting a reaction out of you so they think it would be funny to post it online. This link is an article on how a 14 year old boy harassed two younger boys online. In this link it talks about a 14 boy who was harassing two twelve year old boys online because he thought they were trying to “hook up” with his girlfriend. He called them offensive names like “gay” “fat and “ugly.”

  7. Cyber-stalking • Cyber-stalking is a form of harassment. It’s when you’re are evading someone’s privacy online by hurting them in their comments, trying to find out their personal information. Cyber-stalkers usually keep going because no one knows who they are. Because they’re anonymous and have fake usernames, most people don’t know who they are where they are from, but some people can track them from their IP address.

  8. Exclusion Exclusion is when a group of people don’t interact to one person in a nice way because that person doesn’t have something that the group has. For example, a group of girls got the iPhone 5s but one girl gets bullied because she can’t afford it. This type of bullying happens within girls most of the time because guys usually get violent instead of targeting guys with rude comments.

  9. Outing • Outing is when someone gets cyberbullied and then the bully gets a reaction out of the victim and then the bully saves the conversation and makes fun of the victim with a group of people by showing people the conversation they had. Some people get a hold of someone’s phone and then reads out their private conversations to other people to make fun of them.

  10. Masquerading Masquerading is probably one of the worst types of bullying because anyone can pretend to be someone who they aren’t and say really nice things to you to get close to you, once they get really close and you trust them they ask for things like where you live, what school you go to, and if you can meet up with them. The same thing happened in the movie Cyberbully. The girl’s best friend pretended to be a boy and hurt her feelings online.

  11. pseudonyms • Pseudonyms is almost like masquerading but pseudonyms is when you change you name online to be offensive to someone else. It keeps your identity secret as well as masquerading. They also change their name so even if the victim tells on the bully the victim has no proof who it really is.

  12. How to stop cyberbullying • You can stop cyber bullying by not talking to people you don’t know. This is usually the main reason that most people get cyberbullied because they think they know who they are talking to but it’s just someone who is just trying to target you in a bad way. So overall all you have to do is not talk to the bullies usually bully because they had been bullied in the past or they are seeking attention. So first you can ignore it, when you ignore the bully he/she feels they are not getting a reaction out of you so they eventually stop. If ignoring it doesn’t work then you tell an adult that you could trust. You should always show the evidence, for example save the conversation or the post in which you think you are being bullied and show it to you school principal, your favorite teacher, your parents, or even your school councilor.
