TGI Questions.xls Program • A blank TGI Questions.xls file is included with every TGI game. • All Question Sets purchased from TGI are in this file. • Create your own questions in this file and use Save As to create multiple copies of different questions for your various training programs. • Import questions from any TGI Game or another TGI Questions file. • Contains a Question Editor and Sort options to make creating your question sets quick and easy.
Notice the Excel interface is open to allow you maximum flexibility in moving questions in to the file. Make sure to read the READ ME file as it contains instructions and tips. Move through the pages using the buttons OR click on the tabs across the bottom. The Import button will import all questions from any TGI game or question file. The Setup Screen • You can edit the question description shown by going to the bottom of the Easy sheet. This description shows on all the games setup sheets.
If you came to this sheet by clicking a button, the Question Editor automatically starts and the sheet zooms to the screen. If you came by clicking a tab, you can start the Editor by clicking the Editor button. Special buttons on the sheet allow you to Spell Check, Copy text and Paste Text (Paste Special - Values), Delete all data and Sort the questions. The Question Sheets • If you exceed 230 characters for a question and 110 characters for answers, the background turns yellow. This means the text might not fit in the game screens and needs to be re-edited.
The sort option allows you to do 2 things: Reorder the questions on the page by entering numbers next to each question (1,2,3) OR Remove empty rows between questions by entering the same number (example: 1) next to all questions and leaving the blank lines blank. Either way, pressing the Sort button will reorder the questions and answers on the page. The Sort Option
Across the top is some Help and Tip tabs. You can type or edit questions, answers and the correct answer directly in this editor. The Question Editor This will delete the current question. Press this button twice - once to delete the text and again to reset the question sheet counter. These little boxes show how many character you have left available to enter before exceeding the limit. To update these, press the Accept button. If you have exceeded a limit, a message will appear and you will not be able to move to the next question until you edit the cell with the minus number next to it. After entering text, press tab or Enter to move from cell to cell. This scrollbar lets you scroll through all of the questions on the sheet. Use the arrows or drag the gray box. The number next to it shows you which question is showing. This lets you know if something is entered into all the cells required. Use the drop arrow to select which answer is correct. This takes you to the first empty cell on the sheet. The Close button closes this editor and lets you edit the sheet directly.
This is an optional sheet that lists all of the question from the entire file. Some trainers like to be able to print out a list of these for reference. If desired, use the normal print function to printout. The Recap Sheet
