  1. Together we can help beat cancer. • Trek to Everest Base Camp, Nepal • CANCER RESEARCH UK • Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. We carry out world-class research to improve our understanding of cancer and find out how to prevent, diagnose and treat the disease. There are 200 different kinds of cancer and we are the only charity with the knowledge and expertise to tackle them all. We work to ensure our findings are used to improve the lives of all people with cancer, as well as helping people to understand cancer, the progress being made and the choices each person can make. • In the UK, more than 300,000 people are diagnosed with cancer every year. • sadly more than one in three of us will develop cancer at some point in our lives.
