It was a dark, frigid, and mysterious Halloween night. A group of teenage friends had planned to go to a haunted house attraction that everyone had went to. They were all so very excited to celebrate the eerie and frightful night. Daphne, one of the girls that was going to the haunted house, had been getting ready to go. While she was crinkling her hair, her fairly new curling iron had blew out (electrical energy). This was just the first of her, and her friends bad luck.
The group of friends all had different feelings about going to the house, some were scared, some excited, and some were just wanting to go. It was a very cold night, so Fred turned on the heater (thermal energy). Fred decided that he would be the one to drive everyone to the haunted house. So, once they were all ready to go, they went out to the van. Fred put the car key in the ignition and drove off (mechanical energy).
As they were traveling up a hill, at the very top, one of the rear tires had popped (potential energy). The van sped down to the bottom of the hill and stopped (kinetic energy). Shaggy got out to take a look and noticed a nail in it. As he went to get the spare and the tire iron, he heard a branch break in the woods.
Daphne threw Shaggy a tiny flashlight to use. He turned in on and found a skeleton in the trunk (radiant energy). Shaggy grabbed an axe and screamed “Who’s out there!” Daphne and Fred got out the van and laughed. Daphne put the fake skeleton in the van at the house. Fred threw some rocks in the woods. Shaggy grew angry and walked away. The other two sat on the roof of the van and opened their glow sticks (chemical energy).
