Alexandria Radio ClubChairman: Jack Hranicky – K5OTZ Annual Ham Radio Field Day June 23-24, 2012
Field Day Location • Armistead Booth Park has already been reserved with the City • Last year, Ben Brenman Park was ok, but… • Park has restroom facilities • Park has covered pavilion w/power • Park has close in parking • Park has docking for club trailer.
General Operations* * To be finalized. • We can go 5A as in the past. • Station 1 – 10-15 Phone • Station 2 – 20 Phone • Station 3 – 40-75 Phone • Station 4 – 10-15-20 CW • Station 5 – 40-80 CW • Station 6 – 6 - Phone • Station 7 – On-the-air
Club Teams Need a Station or Band captain to manage planning for each operating station. One person should not have to do it all, recommend that club members JOIN a station team. Anyone is free to operate any station at any time it’s available, but some scheduling might keep the station up and making points more efficiently. If you want to work on antennas, or other items, and you’re not a station captain, volunteer, you can still help.
Field Day Food A major part of Field Day. Club has, in the past, purchased the main course and expected the members to bring the other STUFF. Food chair is S. Adamy Proposals are for something quick and easy – Burgers, Hot dogs, Chicken, BBQ… We will make up a food/drink sign-up list for contributions.
Field Day Logistics • Generators – 3 needed • Radios – 5-7 needed • Antennas – min 5 needed • Food and Water • First Aid
