Last Year Goals and Results • Goal #1: We will increase extended writing response scores to meet or exceed the state standards by using common writing instructions at each grade level and in all subject areas. • Goal #2: Align all courses to the Illinois State Learning Standards. • Goal #3:Achieve 100% parent interaction/communication for all students at all grade levels.

  3. Results Result 1We are unable to analyze the breakdown of test data, due to the ISAT tests not being finalized. Result 2 The History department finalized the curriculum maps to complete the 5 academic areas. The arts department is presently beginning scope and sequence for K-12. Result 3 All 3 grade levels met this goal with 100% contacts. We will continue this goal for this year as well.

  14. Concerns • Lack of ISAT Data to make comparisons and predictions • No local data to compare to ISAT or previous years • No local program for incoming and existing ESL students • How to increase ISAT Exceeds • Writing brought back to ISAT in 06-07

  15. Goals 2006-07 • Goal #1: Create local assessments for comparison purposes • Goal #2: Increase percent exceeds on ISAT tests • Goal #3:Increase Image Test Scores

Planof Action • Goal #1 Activities Time ____________Measure_________________ • Teachers will meet in curricular teams Bi-weekly ISAT Scores as well as in grade level teams. • Teams will write 2-3 Common Assessments Semester Local Scores per semester for each grade level • Goal #2 Activities Time ____________Measure_________________ • Apply Common Assessments Quarterly Local and ISAT scores • Increase advanced Math to 2 sections Summer 2006 ISAT Scores • Differentiate Instruction (Higher level) Ongoing ISAT Scores • Goal # 3 Activities Time ____________Measure_________________ • Implement ESL Program Begin Sept. 2006 Access Scores • Enhance Curriculum with books in Spanish Summer 2006 • Utilize ESL/Bilingual instructor Sept. 2006 Access Scores

  17. Other Areas of Improvement • We have begun the process of changing our school into • a professional learning community. • a. Meeting bi-weekly as grade level and curricular teams. • b. Creating common assessments. • c. Meeting to evaluate and improve student success. • d. Administrators will attend workshop in Feb. • We are in the beginning stages of learning the Rti process • and be able to apply it in the future. • a. Lead teacher went to work shop for reading at the OCEC. • b. In-service for teachers on Jan. 5 institute. • 3. We will be having a bullying in-service on Jan. 5 institute.

  18. State Goals for 2007 • Raise 6th grade reading to 83%, and Math exceeds to • 20%. • 2. Raise 7th grade reading to 82%, and Math to 90%. • Raise 8th grade reading to 84%, and Math to 94% • 90% or higher for all grade levels in Reading and 75% in Math on the Image test.
