Planning and Development Conduct a needs assessment based on student achievement data and school climate survey Develop school vision and mission statement Use data to determine student subgroups strengths and weaknesses
Planning and Development 4. Identify goals for reading, math, science, writing, and parental involvement Identify objectives to achieve each goal Identify resources to implement strategies Plan for ongoing professional development for all stakeholders
Implementing Communication plan to all stakeholders Develop consensus among stakeholders and essential elements of the plan Ensure that all stakeholders responsible for implementation are familiar with the components of an evidence based school improvement model
Monitoring and Evaluating Conduct regular observationsto confirm the level of effectiveness of the SIP implementation Conduct evaluations on a quarterly basis to ensure effectiveness of strategies Share the results with all stakeholders
Monitoring and Evaluating 4 . Review evaluation results and make changes as necessary 5. At the end of the school year, fully evaluate the outcomes of the SIP 6. After the final SIP evaluation begin to plan for the next school year’s SIP
