  2. “RecoCert” • “RecoCert”: Part of the “Offline”-of-defense for data quality. Developed by Harry M. • A Framework Package presently used to determine stability/suitability of the event reconstruction software. • Runs on DST’s (TMB’s soon) • Produces Root-Tuples. “MakePlots” produces .ps • RecoCert_x, MakePlots_x “go into release” • My intent is that offline shifters use this every day • Monitor most recent Reco output • Monitor a large fraction of Reco output • Use it as a routine “Data Quality Follow-up” Tool

  3. “RecoCert” • Some progress in development work was done (HM&HTD&helpers) • Improved the histograms • Finished documenting the new histograms • Still need to improve procedures for • operating the release • reporting results, whether good or suggestive of problems • generally available location and format • follow-up mechanism for problems • Coordination, Call List, Resolution … • PUNCH LIST

RecoCert Plots www-d0.fnal.gov/computing/data_quality/figures… • Follow “Plots and Figures” on the DQ web page • An item is one page of plots & one txt file of description • Considerable help has already been received from experts. • Some tweaks yet required • Electrons is broke. • Too much muons? • Another round of updates!

Summer Workshop • A product of the Beaune Workshop is Plans and Goals for improved DZero data quality. • 2/3 of agenda is devoted to this issue. • We have already contacted the physics group leaders and Det./Algo./ID Group leaders • Asked the P.G.L.’s to provide names of speakers outlining “specs” for certain key analyses in their physics groups. • Asked the others to share their good ideas & see how to meet the specs required by the physics. • Very little feedback from you leaders. We assume it’s because you are still busy making detailed plans.

Summary • We need to have the best quality data so that we get the best quality results. • “Offline”-of-defense RecoCert will be an available tool for monitoring data quality, hopefully in the gears of one of our shift machines. • The Beaune Workshop is sooner than you are planning-for. Preliminary agenda is available and it’s designed to be a workshop.
