  2. Nancy Yao Maasbach is an experienced and dedicated person well-known for her knowledge and dedication. During her upbringing in Flushing, Queens, she was exposed to the significance and influence of the Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA).

  3. Through Nancy Maasbach’s monthly excursions to Chinatown with the Chinatown Manpower Project in the same building as MOCA, she witnessed the transformative effect of the arts, culture, and social services.

  4. Nancy Yao Maasbach was first exposed to MOCA's emphasis on Chinese traits and experiences, and these events left a lasting influence on her and kindled her zeal for sharing cultural histories and unifying various populations.

  5. As President of MOCA today, Nancy Maasbach carries on the tradition of the people she initially encountered as a young girl.

  6. Nancy Maasbach’s mission as the museum director is to alter public perceptions of the United States of America by studying the essential historical contributions made by Chinese Americans. She does this by utilizing her extensive knowledge base and experience.
