  1. Utilizing Your Support System Victoria Lai, Governor

  2. Why should we utilize our support system? • Fall is an especially busy time of the year • To provide you with advice on how you could combat challenges • To provide you with resources that can help you complete your tasks more efficiently • Our support system understands the tediousness of your role whereas friends might not • To keep you from burning out

  3. Why should we utilize our support system? • Allows us to know that you are okay • Allows us to help you provide support to the members you serve • Allows us to help pick you up and put you back on your feet • Allows us to grow as an ohana

  4. What is our support system? • As members of the District Board, we have a large network of support • Each other • Committee • Leadership Team • Executive Team • Region Team • Region Advisor(s)

  5. But everyone is so busy… • This is where our various teams come in handy • Our Kiwanis Advisors, Leadership Team, and Executive Team are all committed to supporting you in your development as a leader • But the first step you have to take as a leader is to communicate any difficulties you are having • Keeping to yourself and allowing for challenges to continue is not being a part of the solution

  6. Remember… This isn’t an easy role to be in There will be challenges, both personal and Key Club related You will burn out But you will always have your District Board ohana to fall back on.

  7. Questions? Go, go, go!
