How Do Animals use their Adaptations To Survive In The Rain Forest By:Jake M, John, Julia, Grace, and Holly
Our Conjecture Our conjecture is: we think they use there adaptions to survive by, blending onto their surroundings, using there long tongue to catch bugs, being good at climbing, making tools to help them catch prey, and finally give off beautiful colors to blind the incoming predators.
Macaws • Tail is as long as body • Deforestation destroys millions of homes • Largest parrots • Two tows point forward and two backwards
Monkeys • Strong arms and legs to swing from branch to branch • They make homes in the canopy of trees • Can stay on trees for a long time • They can easily grip onto branches
Chameleons • Can climb trees for protection • Uses large tongue to catch bugs • Has darker green scales for camouflage • Bead like scales
Sloth • Move slowly so they look like trees • Found in central America • Nocturnal so predators will not eat them • Two species of sloths,2 towed ,3 towed
Jaguars • Live in grasslands and forests of Central and South America • Eat opossums, large rodents, deer, fish, monkeys and reptiles • Jaguars are endangered, keystone species • Very good climbers and swimmers
