Integrity to maintain and build public confidence • Truthfulness, fairness and honesty in every dealing to promote consistent outcomes • actions and decisions consistent with government policy • work to achieve harmonious policy and services
Impartiality to maintain and build public confidence • we are not improperly influenced • we only accept gifts and benefits in accordance with policy • our decisions and actions are based on evidence • we give objective, independent, apolitical advice
Integrity and impartiality public sector entities • are committed to the highest ethical standards • accept and value their duty to provide advice which is objective, independent, apolitical and impartial • show respect towards all persons, including employees, clients and the general public • acknowledge the primacy of the public interest and undertake that any conflict of interest issue will be resolved or appropriately managed in favour of the public interest, and • are committed to honest, fair and respectful engagement with the community

Perceived conflict of interest • other people see us as having a conflict of interest • there is no actual conflict, but the situation may lead people to think there is Potential conflict of interest • our personal interest does not currently conflict with our duties, but • it is possible that these personal interests could result in a conflict of interest in the future
