Leicestershire Early Learning & Childcare Service Graduate Leader Support to 31st March 2013 Subject to Availability Senior Practitioner Support Working towards a Level 5 Early Years Foundation Degree leading onto a pathway and committed to achieve EYPS Setting Support Only one premium can be paid per setting employing a senior member of staff working toward a level 5 qualification or holding EYP Status • Foundation Degree • Up to £3,500 of course fees payable directly to trainer upon approval • Awarded on a yearly basis only • Only 2 individuals per setting can be supported • Subject to sufficient funding • Priority will be given to settings in deprived areas • and without a graduate • A £150 bursary payment is available • Foundation Degree Premium • Settings can receive up to £800 allocated • pro rata while a candidate is enrolled on a level 5 qualification • Only one premium can be paid per setting • EYP Pathway • Settings with a leader accepted onto an EYP pathway • will access supply cover from CWDC via the University where • the candidate is studying for EYP • EYP Pathway • Upon FdA completion, and for other graduates • Course fees are paid by the CWDC and will • normally include a bursary through the university • FdA graduates will normally join the long pathway • EYPS Premium • Settings with an EYP leading EYFS • Can receive up to £2,500/annum pro rata • following the award date of EYPS • Settings can then receive a further £1,000/EYP/year pro rata, • Managers must discuss with the EYP how this should be spent on • either enhancing salary of EYP or development • EYPS achieved • Status awarded by CWDC, • Membership of Leicestershire EYP Network is granted • Additional funding is available to the network member • to support continuing development activity
