Features • The harness is streamlined and has no straps • The unit is equipped with a single stage, hose mounted pressure reducer • The unit does not have an integrated PASS alarm • The unit does not have a low pressure warning alarm. The member assigned to the bag must monitor cylinder level.
Contents and Location • Stored in Cab of R-84 • Equipped with: • 1 30 minute SCBA cylinder (a 60 minute cylinder will be provided later this year) • 1 Spare SCBA mask • 1 Spare mask regulator / buddy breather hose • 1 hose assembly with pressure reducer and adapter fittings • Small rescue hand tools and webbing
Staging • Assign a member of FAST to emergency air • Turn the cylinder ON and check pressure • Check contents and ensure locations are well known • Any firefighter trapped, missing or reported in trouble will be considered low on air.
Airline Fitting Utilize the Hansen fitting to supply air through the air line whip, directly to his mask (only if the pack is properly equipped, all of ours are)
