  2. Technical Illustrator Duties • Develop technical specifications including measurement specs and construction details; communicate fit and corrections to vendors and factories for approvals. (dc shoes) • Ability to create initial tech packs to reflect Design’s aesthetics. Follow through from proto development to final graded production specs. (Ralph Lauren)

  3. Technical Illustrator Education • Degree in Fashion. • 4-5 years in Technical Design. • Understand garment construction and fabric. • Proficient in Illustrator, Excel, and Web PDM software. • *PDM – Product Development Management

  4. Technical Illustrator Abilities • Skills obtained from fashion degree with ability to: • Communicate construction terms in writing within excel. • Communicate graphically - technical specifications of garment. • Communicate effectively with design team and production personnel and/or sub contractors.

  5. Technical Illustrator – Personal Qualities • Must be a team oriented person with a positive personality. • Must be accountable to deadlines. • Proactive with problem solving and resolution oriented. • Communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
