AR is Powerful Practice • Right level of difficulty • Shoe sizes and styles • Lexiles, reading levels for books • Cover a sufficient amount of time • PA RWSL Standards 25 books per year • Be guided by the instructor • AR doesn’t teach students to read; the teacher teaches students to read • AR supports and enhances basal-reader series and/or other instructional materials. It does not replace them. • Be enjoyable enough to sustain • FVR
