Radiation SafetyVDR2 Check Source • The VDR2 (Tactical-No Check Source) is NRC license exempt and does not require signage. • Contains 1nCi of Thorium in the High Range Detector of Beta/Gamma probe. • The VDR2 (Active-Check Source Attached to side of VDR2) IS NOT license exempt and must be stored and inventoried as a radioactive source. • Contains 60 nCi of Thorium in the check source.
