  7. Review last week lesson Biblical Purpose What am I called to do ?

  8. What am I called to do ? • Every wise workman takes his tools away from the work from time to time that they may be ground and sharpened; so does the only –wise Jehovah take His ministers oftentimes away into darkness and loneliness and trouble, that He may sharpen and prepare them for harder work in His service.Robert Murray McCheyne

  9. A life of Purpose When difficulties comes, our tendency is to pray for deliverance instead of growth. We ask the Lord, “How can I get out of this?” instead of “What can I get out of this?”When we do that, we miss the opportunities God gives us to develop spiritual maturity. Warren Wiersbe

  10. Biblical Values Today lesson Living for what really matters

  11. Biblical Values • Our core values define us. • They tell us why we do what we do. • Our values are the reason for the choices we make, the company we choose, the lifestyle we adopt and the possessions we hold dear. • As disciples of Jesus, our values must be shaped by the scriptures.

  12. A new discernment Making wise choices Setting your mind on things above Going with the Flow A life of “Switched Price Tags”

  13. Day 1-Our Common Tendency Going With The Flow (1 Sam 15:1-23)

  14. Day 2-Result of Our Human TendencyA life of “Switched Price tags” (Luke 9:24-25) • We live for time and not for eternity. • We live by sight and not by faith. • We live as “ physical beings” having cursory “spiritual experiences” Fishers of Men

  15. Day 3- The Pivotal Turn- AroundSetting your mind on things above (Col 3:1-3) • Carnal nature: • Success- Fame & Fortune • Security- Free from Fear • Significance- Sense of importance He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot loose. Jim Elliot

  16. Day 4- What Exactly is NeededMaking wise choices (John 21:15-17) • Do you love me more than these? • 153 Fishes? • Fishing Kakis? • Jesus’ miracles? • Do you love me for who I am ?

It is an answer based on the value of the Kingdom and the essential worth of the King. Jesus is the King who is completely worthy! In Him, we live for what really matters!
