W V q Electric Potential Difference (Voltage) • Potential Difference: The work done to move a positive test charge from one location to another • The SI Unit for Potential difference is the Volt (V) • Commonly referred to as ‘Voltage’ • Comparing electricity to the two tanks of water: • Voltage is the difference in the water level ofthe two tanks
